RULES


Make it a winner!

  • You can work alone or with a group of friends to create your video
  • No repurposing other people's stuff, make it 100% unique
  • Mention "swivet Zone" at least twice in the video
  • Keep it under 2 minutes long
  • This contest is open to movie makers between age 13 and 18, but if you're younger than 18 or otherwise considered a minor in your country of residence you must have your parent or guardian's consent and supervision.

To submit a video to the swivet Zone video contest, you must:

  • Agree to these rules and the judges decisions.
  • Release swivet Zone and its agencies from any and all claims, liabilities, losses or damages of any kind resulting from your participation in the swivet Zone video contest or your acceptance and use of any prizes you may win.
  • Agree to use of your name, likeness and location for advertising and publicity purposes by swivet Zone and it's affiliates.
  • You can work alone or with a group of friends to create your video
  • No repurposing other people's stuff, agree that your video is 100% original and not someone else's idea.
  • This contest is open to movie makers between age 13 and 18 at time of entry, but if you're younger than 18 or otherwise considered a minor in your country of residence you must have your parent or guardian's consent and supervision.
  • You must be able to provide proof of age and identity if requested
  • If you have participated in the swivet Zone video contest and won a 1st place prize, you are not eligible to participate for the following season.
  • If you are the son or daughter of a swivet Zone employee, you are not eligible.

Here are some details about your video:

  • The only place you can submit a video for the swivet Zone video contest is on www.swivetZone.com.
  • Mention "swivet Zone" at least twice in the video
  • The video must be 2 minutes or less, anything longer will not qualify
  • Since it's a contest your video must specifically relate to one of the tasks on the contest page
  • Only one entry per person or team
  • Your video can't contain anything that is subject of a copyright or infringes upon any one else's ideas
  • You must not include anything that is inappropriate for publication (illegal acts, profanity, nudity, offensive or hateful language, violence)
  • Your video can't be submitted to another contest or competition, or receive an award from another source before or after it is submitted to this contest
  • Once you submit the video, there's no going back. You can't modify, edit or replace your video.
  • When you submit the video to the contest, swivet Zone and it’s affiliate companies has the right to display, reproduce, distribute, publish and create other copied works or versions of the video anywhere.

If your video is selected as a finalist, you will be notified directly by phone or email. You will need to provide:

  • Photocopy of your identification
  • Publicity Release and consent for swivet Zone to use the video for all media uses without additional compensation
  • Each of your "actors" must sign a Talent Release Form
  • All documents must be signed by a parent or legal guardian
  • If the required documents are not returned in a timely manner, or notification is undeliverable, the video will be disqualified and an alternate finalist will be selected
  • If there's a tie, those affected will each receive the same prizes for the level they won

Rights & Laws:

  • If the integrity of the contest is compromised, swivet Zone reserves the right to cancel the Contest and select finalists from existing, eligible video entries that were submitted before the act causing the cancellation.
  • Notice of cancellation will be posted on the website (www.swivetZone.com).
  • If swivet Zone and judges decide there aren't enough entries worthy of being a finalist, they have the right to select less finalists.
  • The Contest shall be governed by and interpreted under the internal laws of the State of California.
  • Any legal action concerning the Contest shall be brought only in a state or federal court located in California.
  • Legal action must be made by an individual, NOT part of a class action and the participant will only be able to recover out-of-pocket costs related to participation in the Contest and waives rights to all other damages (that includes, but not limited to compensatory, incidental, consequential or punitive damages).
